Dead Sea

Two weeks ago we visited Dead Sea. It's called "dead" sea because of  its high salinity inhibits large organisms, such as fish.

It's one of the world's saltiest water bodies. 34.2% salinity creates high buoyancy so you can see people hold of stuffs while floating on the sea surface.

Due to lack of water input and high evaporation, sea level of dead sea decreases at rate of 1 meter per year. You can image what happened to those fashion hotels build twenty years ago along the coastal line.

It's really fun floating on it.

Although you would never want to let the water get on your face.

Taste it is also not a good idea, it's not bitter, it's very very bitter...

Along the coast you can find halite everywhere.  Also the salt crystallize on surface of everything.

Any other question?
